These seven principles represent our core values.
1. You before me.
Our clients’ interests come first. The fiduciary mindset is the bedrock of our identity. It reflects our integrity and it’s what inspires us to help build better futures.
2. Rooted in responsibility.
We feel a deep sense of responsibility to our clients. The people we serve entrust us with their capital and expect us to help them grow their assets. We are emotionally invested in our clients’ futures.
3. Do no harm.
Put simply, we avoid systemic risk of ruin first and then look for opportunities on the upside. Survive first, then succeed.
4. Keep it simple.
We think of investing much like a prudent business owner thinks about their enterprise. We don’t invest in exotic sounding schemes, assets that don’t create value, opaque financial products, or opportunities we don’t understand. Avoiding stupidity is easier than seeking brilliance.
5. Play the long-game.
We are committed to a better tomorrow. We take a long-term view to secure a brighter future. When making investment decisions, we prefer driving glasses over reading glasses.
6. Numbers over narrative.
We ground our investment research on reported data and rational analysis rather than be swayed by story of the day. Facts are first-class citizens.
7. Value discipline.
We use a value oriented approach to discover mispriced assets in inefficient markets. The quality of the buying decision is more critical than the selling strategy. Well bought is half sold.
